Teaching a teen to drive can be a little nerve-racking to say the least, but it can also be a very enjoyable way to spend some quality time with our teen. Follow these tips to reinforce fundamental behavior when in the car with your teen.

After you've watched the above video, you'll hopefully be a better, more attentive driver yourself, and a great role model for your teen. And you'll also be able to start teaching them better safe driving habits while they are learning to drive. These habits will help keep them safe and reduce their risk of being involved in a crash.

This video is just one lesson from my Teaching Driving course. The full course is 25 lessons, starting with getting to know your car, then going through the process of teaching the basics of driving in a parking lot, all the way up to driving on the highway, and driving in adverse conditions and at night. These lessons are designed for parents to get more involved in their teenager's learning process, and will help teach your teen to be a good, safe driver and avoid accidents and costly injuries.

If you want to keep joining me down this road of instruction, the entire course is available for less than the cost of just ONE professional driving lesson. And if you purchase the course, you own it forever, so if you have multiple prospective drivers in your household, you can continue to use this course to teach them all safe driving habits, for years to come. All for one low price.

And check out the Resources section of this website for more free tips, practical exercises and expert knowledge to help you get your teen on the road safely.
