How to convince your teen the dangers of speeding

How many times have you tried to explain something to your teen, only to battle social media, video games or another distraction for their attention. No matter how many times you inform or explain something, it can be hard to get your point across to another person who doesn't understand. Add the hormone-crazed brain of a teenager and it can become virtually impossible to get through to them on some subjects – but the impact of speed on driving and the dangers of speeding is one of those lessons that is just too important for them not to grasp the full impact.

Speed is the biggest factor in stopping distance

So, how do you get the point across that speed is a VERY critical factor when driving, a factor that impacts almost every other driving function like stopping distance and steering? You show them.

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” ― William Arthur Ward (inspirational speaker)
