Imagine Being Confidant In Your Teen's Driving Ability
What if you could be completely confidant in your son or daughter’s driving capabilities when they finally get their license?
Instead of worrying and wondering what information was provided in their Driver’s Ed courses, you feel confident that your teen learned everything they need to be a good, safe driver. You feel proud of yourself and proud of them for being engaged and having deepened trust in each other.
That’s what we call, “Connected Coaching”.
TEACHING DRIVING IS ABOUT CREATING CONNECTED COACHING AND TRUST THROUGH DRIVING.
It makes a difference how you teach.
The truth is, having experience driving an automobile doesn’t make someone an effective driving instructor. Knowing how to instruct can make a big difference in the teen’s learning process.
Driving instructors spend hundreds of hours learning how to teach, not how to drive. The good news is that you don’t have to be a driving instructor to learn how to make a big impact in the learning experience AND the much needed reinforcement long after your teen gets their license.
Are you prepared for supervised driving requirements?
Chances are, you live in a state that requires at least 40 hours of supervised driving with your teen in a variety of situations before they can get a standard driver's license. That's a good thing!
But, what is the best way for the parent to be involved during that process so they can support their teen months and years after the test? That’s exactly what we are here for...to help parents’ become a foundational piece of the learning process before, during and after they get a driver's license.
Become a great driving partner, coach and mentor to your teen.
Our approach isn’t bits and pieces of Driver’s Ed reformatted for a different audience. It’s specific method based on what we learned that parent’s need to know in order to effectively become a driving coach for their teen.
“It’s tough teaching your child to become a safe driver. These lessons brought up great points with examples on how to give my child instructions. It helped both of us tremendously. I highly recommend it.”

DEVELOPED WITH SUPPORT FROM PARENTS
Teaching Driving would not have been created without parents who wanted to be more impactful in their teen’s driving experience.
160 supporters believed in the vision so much, they helped Drew Schennemen, a renowned driving instructor, complete a successful Kickstarter campaign to create the Teaching Driving program.
The best thing about their support is that they provided real insights about their needs, which was developed into the training courses.
About Drew
Drew Scheneman – Professional Driving Instructor
Hi, I'm Drew. I am a teacher, traveler, and adventurer. For several years I owned a successful business teaching people of all ages and nationalities how to drive. During that time I was continually asked by parents if they could purchase a book or video that would help them teach their teenager how to drive at home. I realized there weren't many resources that parents could use to help them teach their teen safe driving habits and skills at home, so I decided to create one. Teaching Driving: A Parent's Guide to Teaching Your Teen to Drive is my effort to encourage parents to be more involved in the process of teaching their teen to drive, which will ultimately save lives.
Teaching safe driving habits to young drivers is a cause I genuinely believe in, and I want to make it easier (and cheaper) for parents and guardians.
